Welcome to the L O A e-Repository!

At an undetermined date, the house in which H grew up was cut in half, put on the back of a semitrailer and moved from its plot of land out of the city leaving a gaping hole. H has set up the L O A to assemble the mislaid and fugitive remembrances of this house. He aims to re-construct the house through an operation of retrieval from the reserve of lost, damaged and repressed images once conscious but since forgotten.

So, where to start? With the aid of the alphabetical filing system situated in the far left hand margin of each page it is possible to search or browse the L O A. Documents pertaining to the same absent object may be recorded in more than one way. For example, the letter F houses groups of documents as files numerically, while others are organized according to an alphabetical system and others according to date. To find specific material, you will need to carefully rifle through the documentation in each relevant file and under the appropriate alphabetical letter. This may give rise to surprising results: unexpected information, an unforeseen aspect of the same object or perhaps an unannounced image in your own mind.

The use of graphite pencils, colored pencils and pens are encouraged for research purposes and for personal note taking, but not erasers. A camera to photograph certain documents is allowed, but flash photography is strictly forbidden and tripods are not permissible. If, however, you hold your arms close to your body, breath out slowly, and squeeze the shutter with a gentle, consistent and slow pressure, you might capture a good image, but the L O A accepts no responsibility for the quality obtained.

Files are now being uploaded.
